Capertee Public School is a friendly and caring school set amidst lovely gardens and play areas.
The school serves the small community of Capertee with students coming from Capertee itself and the surrounding areas. Emphasis is placed on quality teaching programs with a focus on literacy and numeracy. Our staff are highly experienced and dedicated in providing the best for every student. Each child in the school is seen as an individual and learning is planned accordingly to cater for each child's needs and interests. Our students are highly accomplished users of 21st Century technology and incorporate these skills into everyday learning.
We have a strong community bond and this continues to grow in strength with an active P&C committee. Our school offers a playgroup for preschoolers each fortnight, and an extensive transition program for children entering Kindergarten.
We are committed to being an environmentally friendly school, and have an active School Environment Management Plan. We are a member of a group of local schools partnered with Taronga Zoo and dedicated to the protection of the Regent Honey Eater. Our school vegetable gardens are substantial and our students love growing their own plants and vegetables for use in the kitchen.
